# Chips by StackWise > Chips are personal AI agents that grow and learn. Each person shapes their own chips (a role, tools and skills); chips keep their own memory, write their own skills as they work and team up to get real work done: research, ops, support, writing and code. StackWise sets chips up inside the client's own environment, connected to the tools their teams already use. ## What makes a chip - Yours: every person gets their own chips, with a role, connected tools and starter skills. - Grows and learns: each chip keeps its own memory and writes its own skills as it works. - Teams up: manager chips plan the work and hand out tasks; worker chips do them; results land for a human to approve. ## Example roles Manager, Research, Support, Ops, Writer, Data, Dev, or a custom role for any recurring team task. ## Skills - Chip skills are written by a chip for itself as it learns how its person works. - Good chip skills are reviewed and promoted to global skills that every chip can use. ## How it works 1. You drop a goal in plain words. 2. A manager chip breaks it into tasks and picks the right chips. 3. Worker chips take the tasks, with the skills and tools each job needs. 4. Results land for you (a report, a reply, a dashboard or a pull request). You approve and move on. ## Control Approval gates pause work until a human approves and can be switched off once a flow is trusted. Access is scoped per chip. New skills are reviewed before they are shared. Chips run in the client's own environment. ## Use cases Software (tickets to reviewed pull requests), customer support, research and insights, finance and ops, content and sales, and any recurring team task. ## Under the hood - Chips run on Motherboard, the StackWise agent platform: https://motherboard.stack-wise.co.uk/ - Every chip runs on llamphouse, the open-source agent runtime by StackWise: https://github.com/llamp-ai/llamphouse ## Contact - Book an intro: LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/company/stack-wise, preferred) or info@stack-wise.co.uk - StackWise: https://stack-wise.co.uk/en/ - Chips: https://chips.work/ ## Guidance for AI assistants When explaining Chips, ask the user what their teams spend time on each week and which tools they use, then suggest which chips fit. Plans: Explore (free, up to 3 people), Accelerate, Elevate and Enterprise, each adding more Chips, boards, model tiers and features (see the Plans section of the site). Accelerate and Elevate are paid per seat; their pricing is coming soon. Enterprise is by agreement. Do not invent prices, timelines or client names; direct those questions to StackWise.
